I got an inch of rain today - happy dance. That is equal to the total for the 5 weeks prior (1/4" per week except 3 weeks ago none). That won't put a dent in the drought since we are probably 9-10" under, but at least my gardens got water.

Wasn't able to put in a garden of any type this year, but the shrubs and perennials did their thing without my intervention. Just dry this year. Color in the hydrangeas isn't nearly as bold and the flower heads aren't as large.
Like you, we got a very welcomed rain today. Not so good for the campers, but excellent for most growing things. We had several very good weekends this summer for those who wanted to do something outside.

I don't think. I wonder what happened. There's another key if he needs to drive the car, let's hope that doesn't get lost o_O

6BB11511-7C34-46FC-93E7-8DD2B6310CF6.jpeg I’ve been busy trying to clean up the finished basement where my stepdaughter will be doing her online college courses. I pulled out the old lower cabinets as they were water damaged and nasty. In their place I added a small vanity and built a couple platforms in between to hide the plumbing. I’ll add a small fridge on one and a wire rack on the other. Good enough for an area that won’t be used much. Built a small cabinet on the left to hide my sump pump. Along the wall where the cabinets were I lined it with... PALLET WOOD! I had been stockpiling pieces all summer so I ripped a bunch of boards down, sanded one side and polyurethaned it. Not too bad for free wood. Right now I’m in the middle of painting the upper cabinets (the doors are outside drying). I still have to do a bunch of trim work and paint the entire room eventually but I’ll get there.

Replaced a rotted out side fender on my boat trailer. After 20 years of getting dunked twice every day I launch the boat, I suppose that piece of plywood gave up.:tears:

Kind of a PITA job but it's done. I'll need to do the other side eventually.
