I am pretty sure I speak for most of us on here when I say I get excited, and maybe a little tight in the chest when I find a good score of firewood. I made sure to tell my wife she is the only thing that excites me more than free firewood. Here is what I hopefully will be loading up about 30 minutes from now when I get out of work. I did some Google map and street view searching, and hopefully there is more than that, and nobody else has gotten to it before I do. The last ad I replied to was mostly all gone when I got there a day later. The only wood left was the 48 inch by 30 foot trunk. Screenshot_20200822-032330_Facebook.jpg Looks like white oak to me.... Here is a pic from street view. Screenshot_20200822-062803_Maps.jpg

You must be in the wrong government. I spent some time working in a Ct government building. Most of the employees never bother even showing up :)

20200822_083001.jpg 20200822_083718.jpg Yep I got it all. Was hard to see the knots in the noodled chunks, Some of it got nasty to split, 20200822_083001.jpg but free oak right at the roadside is good. Got 2 loads out of it. I couldn't resist splitting one down.
