I'm so sorry farmer steve ! I have to wonder if your ss# was stolen and the person using it died? BTW, ole or LongShot (sorry guys, I don't recall which of you it was) had a similar issue while getting his first check. SMH!

SS saïd I was an alien. Not born in the USA. Somebody years ago left the country of birth line blank. Took em a month but they figured it out and the money now falls from the sky

He's even harvesting food for his own funeral reception.

sounds more like a computer glitch or operator error ( covering their own tracks) as if it was a problem just now , why didn't it show up in the beginning. I have had my go arounds with various local state and federal departments. For a while there I was the oldest 1st grader ever registered for school. It gets better , oldest son - senior in High school getting 4 th grade report cards. I also was declared deceased as of 1959 that happened in the 90's. ( grandfater passed back 1959 ) What goes on is they pick up the first initial ( not the full first name) and the last name and never look at the rest, such as middle initial and birthdate. Almost forgot, I magically changed genders one year as well. ( That was a federal upchuck) It's kinda funny looking back but a real PIA at the time.
