Yes, the pheasant are up north
Yes, we narrowed it down to Wirehaired GSD's, WH Vizlas, and I never thought I would find one, but Griffons. I shy from Vizlas after Blondie's PLE, genetics, hopefully just her bloodline, but there are not a lot of them around, so good possibility her bloodline is the other ones out here. I about flipped when I learned there was local Griffon Breeder. Our long time neighbor at our previous home had a Griffon and she "had me at hello". And Horkn , we'll live and learn but they are rumored to stick around better than Brittany's and GSD's. Our first two Brittany's were master escapers, they'd wind something, turn your back and they yard was empty.

Another follow up to bells Horkn They've worked great for most of my dogs except our second ancient Brittany, I was pretty sick and it took awhile to get diagnosed etc., and I was on autopilot for a few months. Like shifting gears in a car and you don't realize your actually doing it, I heard the bell and got up to open the door. I realized she had me up and down 5 times an hour. X2 when you add in letting her back in. LIttle Rascal!

I hope this was for real and not a fluke, Lacey JUST rang and went outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep hearing Blackie get up and walk across the floor

On another note, I do believe Lacey ringing the bell is real. She still has accidents but seems to understand I'll open the door for her when she rings the bells.

Oh, and this itty bitty baby learned how to use Blackies steps to get on and off the bed

That's great news! What's funny is our "little" guy Hayden has us pick him up and help him off the bed. I've been helping him " slide" off the bed like how Badger does. Since he's over 50 lbs now, he's heavy. I have no issue picking him up, and I keep reinforcing that I will always be able to pick him up.

Between using human waste as fertilizer there and now this, it's safe to say that real "_______ism" doesn't work.

What in hell does a human think eating a dog is a good thing? Much let alone eating a bat that has us all in this mess?

This world is just a strange place full of strange people doing strange things. Nothing surprises me anymore. I thought I remember hearing China banning eating dog not too long ago? I'm going to assume that wasn't a mainstream thing anyway... To each their own of course, unless it starts unleashing the apocalypse on the rest of us... oops. No talk of politics or bug!

I watched a documentary a few years ago, made me sick to my stomach. And I'm afraid even if it was outlawed it would not stop. The other thing at mind Loon is there are rumors of famine and the people are starving. I have no idea but it all makes me sick.

Thousands of years to domesticate them, then do this to them? By the hand they were domesticated to trust and depend on?

I know, it’s beyond disgusting. I have 2 dogs myself and I don’t care how bad things get, at no point will I ever look at a dog and feel hungry. They’re family. There’s something sacred about that bond that should never be violated period.

Agreed! That said we are fortunate to belong to the USA and other countries where this does not happen, except some countries do eat animals we consider pets:(. Any way I frame it still disgusts me.
