Hope he catches some nice ones, and hits the limit.

    Edit..
wildwest is there a specific species prevalent in the lake?

Chazsbetterhalf is partial to walleye, I'm preferential to rainbow trout.

It's 10,000 acres, so not huge, but rough terrain, have a feeling they will get it contained but likely burn til winter.

Ya my son posted a pic of the smoke. Stated a fire has started in one of their favorite places to camp. He has camped in a few places where a fire previous went through.

    Yeah, a little over 200k.
The guy was a car nut...they weren't planning on selling it when he had it done last year...but then he passed away suddenly and his wife has been selling "the fleet" off...the Ody was last to go...she is down to 1 pretty new Subura now.
Pretty much have my punch list knocked out on it now...last item is the VCM disabler that I just ordered...takes 1 minute to install that.

I think 1 should do it. The pond is tiny, and his house is at the mouth of a small cove. Theres no current, it was just a little breeze pushing the giant sail of a pontoon boat around.

Oh yeah, I called the local Honda store to get a quote on having it done before I went to look at it (negotiating tool) and was expecting under $1000 based on past quotes for the same job on an old Accord we had...they quoted $1300 on the Ody...yeah, no. :startled:
The former owner found the bill then from when they had this done last year, and the guy charged them a little under $1000 to change the belt, water pump, tensioner, pulleys, serp. belt, coolant, trans flush, ATF, PS fluid, replace a trans cooler line, replace a HL bulb and plug a tire. If she had found that bill before, I would have had to pay more for the van...:Dmight hafta send her a fruit basket at Christmas time...:santa:

    Extra gooder!

That $900 bill my old co-worker has on his was from about 10 yrs ago. So that makes sense. What was the parts cost to do it yourself? As with most things like this, there's a lot of labor charge, with hourly rates closing in on $100.

The Aisin TDK002 kit I ordered from Rock Auto was like $185 shipped...same parts as used by Honda...just no "Honda" stamped on the parts...local dealer was almost $600 for the same stuff.
    Around $100 here...

I'll be one happy man when we have the last of the warm weather. However, we once again have a few cooler days this week. Typically we see much cooler right after Labor Day but sometimes we'll see a couple hot days in September.

After thinking on it for a while, I decided to entirely abandon this pipe....this will be the second repair I've made 4' down and I do not intent to make another. The first time I repaired it I T'd up to add a cleanout. Since all the drain plumbing is going to be entirely new I'm going to exit the basement wall about 18" below ground lay new pipe, and T into my cleanout. It is 30' of 18"-26" trench, but that's why God gave me teenage boys....and they are digging away right now.

Bathroom continues to make slow progress. All the supply plumbing is roughed in, drain plumbing is done up to where it will go through the wall, shower stall is done.

Need to install the exhaust fan, roof vent for the fan, then venture up into the attic to complete a drain vent roof penetration and duct the exhaust fan. If I can get away with one trip into the attic for this whole project I'll be happy.

I made them trench my line for the OWB too. Builds character.

I used to operate a shovel for a living....makes for good motivation to go to school / learn a skilled trade.
