I am on another forum, (not firewood) and this guy posts this video of cutting down a tree.

    I made the following comment:

    Wow, just wow?????

It is amazing more people don't kill themselves cutting down trees.

No face cut, No PPE, absolutely clueless of proper hinge technique and we won't go into the electric chainsaw.

Surprisingly enough, things went downhill from there.:picard:

I wouldn’t worry about him. He’s obviously never used a chainsaw in his life and has no clue what he’s doing. If theres one type of person I can’t stand it’s someone who’s really stupid, who thinks they’re really smart. Out of curiosity is the guy you were arguing with the one actually doing the cutting or the guy on the deck giving “directions”? Seems the father is on the deck giving his son directions, and that’s who posted the video. Even worse than cutting it himself, he put his son in incredible danger and he doesn’t even have the balls to be there with him cutting. Seems like a cocky coward.

Hey I’m just happy to find out his oak will be ready to burn in two months.
Do people really use that for smoking? I could be rich!!

My father in-law once asked me to cut down a tree that was just feet from his house and right next to power lines. I said "No thanks, Bob. Call a pro." It's really not that hard to admit you don't have the skill to do something, especially when it can save your life. These yutzes in video should spend some time seeking out information and learning rather than trying to do it all themselves.

I've turned down cutting jobs when I was 95% certain I could do it without jeopardy.

He at least has a face mask to keep the oakrona away.  Also to steam up and make him not be able to see well. The good news is that somehow he got it down with no harm, it appears.
