I have 2 older saws, a Husqvarna 55 and a jonsered 2071 turbo. I would like to see if anyone does mod work on them? If so, pricing and what you would recommend.

If you plan on working these saws a lot do a woods port and a good muffler mod with the spark arrestor in place.

I hear ya, I keep hearing about ported saws, and I like more power in anything so I figured it was time!

They see a lot of wood, mostly in the winter though, so I'm not to picky if the spark arrester is kept or not but I don't know anything about modifying a saw so I will see what huskihl says

Hey, if he if feeling the 2071 should be a ported big bore saw, it would be rude to dismiss the idea right away lol

    That's a nice-looking saw there

You got the right guy! Wait till you run one that's been worked over. From that point on, stock just won't do.

Here is another vote for huskihl. He will do a top notch job and has done work for many on this forum. On top of that, he is a great guy.

I can also attest to sausage fingers work. You will like running a saw he has ported.

He has done 2 of ours. Big bore kit on a MS029 and MS362.
    362 with 28" bar

Playing around with 25" bar on the XS029 big bore...

Yes, huskihl does a great job.

If you do any cutting on public land you will want a spark arrestor.

Thanks, I sent him the 029 first. I was so impressed, the 362 got left with him...:saw::saw:
