I woke up to a response from Facebook Marketplace about a back yard filled with cut wood. I go and selectively take 2 trailer loads home. Perfect rollers. [IMG]

2 hours later, my tree service guy asks if he can dump this. Looks like the season of 24-25 is taken care of...[IMG]

Sweet. Always feels good to have wood to refill emptying racks.

I turned down the other load he has to grab. He said it was just below breast height. I can’t mess with that size......

The backyard grab is white and red. The tree service dump is an even mix of white oak, cherry, and elm. Pretty sure that'a a stick of cotton wood (the butt log on the end) in there too..

Anyone have input on the species of the front log with the hinge in the second pic ? Logs 1,3 & 4 have the darker portion and the same Cottonwood looking bark.

Logs 1,3 and 4 look to be the same species, same tree. I'm guessing cottonwood just from the pics.

Finally got all of it cut into blocks last night. Its been pretty dang hot lately. Once we bring 2 cords into the garage, I'll start splitting, and fill the hole.

^ I'll snap a pic when I get home this evening. I estimate it to be just under 2 cords :stacker:
