Ummmm NO. That's brush,not ''firewood''. I have a pile of brush that I'm slowly getting rid of now,since both Asplundh & Mid American Energy refused to clean it up..... But that's another story.

Maybe I should post an ad on Craigslist hoping some idiot would haul it off for free? Except I wouldn't want others knowing my address cause they would just help themselves to the good stuff when I'm not home some time.....

Gonna say....I know where the area is,its outside of any city limits if the map is correct,so open burning is allowed.Best thing for that is a couple gallons of diesel fuel.... :firepit:

 

If anyone wants some, I've got a bunch of brush that I've been cutting out of the neighbours yard.

One pic looks like a charred end where they attempted to burn it. Looks like an add asking for someone to come do his clean up for free. What a marble head!

And ANOTHER one tonight It says "Free RR Ties & Firewood!!" Just hope its not one & the same....

To be fair though,I also seen one for some nice big White Oak not too far from here.Looks like good stuff,no room for it here though but will be a nice find for someone with a little ambition.

Quite a few big old ones came down in 4-5 county radius over the past few weeks,several major storms with heavy rain,gusts from 50 to 75+ MPH.

 

Well, at least the big Oak could help recoup some cost, once you cash in all the metal in it.

 

I see a CL ad in my future.
Nobody here can respond to it though.

 

That looks just like the 28" to 36" White Oak my tree service contact dropped off last December....Inspite of a fair amount of blue stain in several chunks,NO ferrous metal was hit with the chains. Thankfully.

Even milling the last piece in mid April into 2" & 3" slabs (it had the most blue stain) no metal in that one either.Whatever was in it had dissolved several decades ago.
