If I was going to get a Bota, the L series would be it.... much heavier and the backhoe is way more capable.

    Good buy!

Yes. The TLB series backhoes are strong. I enjoyed reading an owners post on a Tractor site. He said it’s like have a gorilla working with you. LOL

And then my luck happened. All hydraulics worked when it came off the truck. Truck left and I checked oil and hydraulic fluid levels. Good to go. Fluids even looked good. Drove it over to my concrete pad in front of barn and tried to take the backhoe off. Not happening. The pins seem to be set up. I don’t know. Probably hasn’t been off in a long time. While moving the rear tires slightly off the ground and then back down to try to loosen said pins the hydraulics stopped working. :picard:My neighbor was walking by and stopped to help. He has a Kubota too. I have owned an L 3710, an L35, and an M59. Three different set ups. And taken the backhoes all off and on many times. I’ve never seen anything like this. The connections are all good. Never disconnected any of the hoses. The levers are all in the right place. No leaks anywhere. The tractor will go forward and reverse. So hydrostatic is working. The boom will swing left to right. But no other hydraulics on backhoe work. No loader hydraulics work. Very strange. Local Kubota dealer sending mechanic over to try to figure it out. Dealer I bought it from says he will pay them. This is very odd. I haven’t even done anything with it yet! And I tried the “gate valve” under seat. No difference. Weird.

Sweet setup, hope the fix is an easy one. I could get so much work done if I had one.

I found a thread on the subject on Orange Tractor Talks. After reading it I read it out loud to my neighbor and the mechanic. Mechanic went to the front of tractor and found the two pumps that run all the stuff that isn’t working. (Three pumps on the tractor. One runs the HST and the swing on backhoe. Other two run the rest of backhoe functions, steering, and all loader functions.) He took front off, battery out, some side bolts, plates, etc. Got to pump assembly and got that all apart and sure enough the coupler that connects to PTO shaft from front of motor, well its splines were all rounded off and shot. Luckily the pump seems to be functioning fine and the splines on it seem okay. So parts are ordered and being shipped overnight for an extra $50. New coupler, two new bearings. Seller said okay to go ahead. Hopefully it will be up and running tomorrow. If they got the call in early enough for shipping. Then we still have to get the backhoe pins free. Seems odd to say, but kind of lucky it went when it did? Because if it went 20 hours of tractor work later..... I’d be paying for it.

Doesn't sound like it will be too hard to fix.

    Good luck
