I've surrendered to the a/c. The heat and humidity shut me right down. I'd rather a week below 0 than a day above 80*/80%. Here's my annual summer relief picture, feel free to add your own. I feel a little better now.
October 2011 Nor'easter (Halloween Storm) The trees and cable lines in my yard missed my VW Jetta by a couple feet. Most of the state was shut down for days afterwards as crews were mobilized from all over to help restore power. I passed the time driving around with my chainsaw doing my part and building up my woodpile. That was my kind of crisis!
These pics are actually mine We had a few good years there in the 2008-2015 stretch. The last few years have been pretty lackluster. I'm hoping for at least couple big storms this year.
I wish. I forget when they started naming the snowstorms, maybe 2011-2012. I remember "Nemo", which was February 9th of 2013 dumped 31" on my town. The same year "Saturn", which was like mid March dumped another 21" on us. When I tell my wife, and others that I'd love a "real storm", like 42"-48", they all look at me like I'm nuts. Thing is those are the ones that everyone remembers. If its going to snow, let it snow.
GF and i were stranded in her apt form for 4 days during Nemo. Town one over had the highest amount for the storm...40".
You must be referring to Hamden. Yeah it was a good one. I had plowed for the State for 30+ hours straight, and didnt realize how much we actually had, plowing 2-3 inches at a time. I got home and saw my driveway and was like "Holy ****"
