I like "normal" temps. Sometimes we can go days without overheating, but this year is an exception for sure. TOO HOT, TOO HUMID. Add that to be too fat and it all is too much. Think I'll have salad for lunch.

Storm arrived and took out the humidity and electricity.

Got up to the house in NH. AC isn't working. Well, it works, but the air handler isn't blowing. Theres no ladder, so I cant get up into the crawl space to see what's wrong either. It's still hot outside, so I guess it's going to be a night of.warm sleeping.

At least I was able to reunite with my old friend Fireball that I left in the liquor cabinet 4ish years ago.

Never did I think I'd ever say that I'll be happy to be on day shift.

    No excuses
    By Pastor Mark Jeske

Children don’t have to be coached to know how to attempt to weasel out of responsibility for their misdeeds. They figure out denial (“Not me”), blaming (“It was her!”), playing dumb (“Huh?”), and pleading ignorance (“I dunno”).

Parents see right through those dodges. And so does God. On the day of judgment he will get a lot of arguing, but his decisions will all be final. Nobody will be able to shout at him that he or she didn’t know: “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse” (Romans 1:18-20).

Even people who have refused to go to church and refused to crack a Bible know that they are in someone else’s world. The brilliance of the design and execution of the universe, its stunning billions of galaxies of stars, wild array of vegetation, astoundingly diverse animal world, and complex miracles of human beings tell anyone with an open mind that there is a Creator. The consciences that exist in every human being also give testimony to our accountability to that Creator.

“I didn’t know” isn’t going to work on Judgment Day

I was able to get the AC to work thankfully. I moved the garage refrigerator, a 2 step ladder, and two 5 gallon paint pails and I was able to climb up into the attic. Found the air handler (thats maybe a year old) frozen. I shut the AC down, and left the fan blowing to try and speed up melting the ice. Within an hour, the ducts were pushing air fast like they should. I took a gamble just before bed and kicked the AC back on, and it worked thankfully. I would have got about zero sleep otherwise.

    First world disaster averted.

Beautiful morning here! Air really feels great again. I turned the air conditioner off around midnight and opened the windows. Love it!

Seen on the news last night that some people are getting packages of seeds in the mail from china...that they did not order! Authorities said they do not know what they are, and DO NOT plant them!
Probably some genetically modified invasive species... :zip:

Well, well, well, water we have here. Yeah, some time between Feels like 107ºF outside and Feels like -10ºF 6 months from now.
It might be a little cooler 8 feet down in a hole but it's not that much cooler. So far it's been behaving.

I agree with Horkn though...would be wise to at least have a new switch at the ready...it stuck once, it will do it again sooner or later.
