It won't be long before corn is ready here if coons don't get it first. Looks like our corn might need another 10 days or so.

Ok the snake came back. Gonna be hard to see but if you look where the ground and porch meet on the left hand side you can see the dark line. It is about a ft long.

pretty nice day here so far. 85F with fairly low humidity makes it fairly pleasant to work in the shade with a nice breeze. I'm trying to get ahead on the mud kitchen builds so I dont have to kill myself to get caught up when I get back from a few day escape up north with just the wife.

Hopefully it will be cooler when you get to do the insulation. OTOH, I'll bet your son would love it to be insulated much sooner (like today) to keep it cooler in there for him during this heat wave.

Humidity in my house is at 69% with the A/C going since yesterday morning. However, low temp outside this morning is 73* so not as bad as you guys in the midwest. Gonna be a scorcher for these parts at the high 90's. We have a really good chance of breaking the high temp and the low temp (high) for this date and they are saying that the real feel will be 102-104 as you are showing.

    Grateful Prayer Brings Peace
    By Rick Warren — July 26, 2020
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace.”

    Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)

It’s not easy to stop worrying about the often-scary, everyday parts of our lives, but God tells us how to do it: “Pray about everything . . . thank him for all he has done” (Philippians 4:6 NLT). Grateful prayer brings peace. God says that when you start to worry, stop to pray.

Parents understand the power of gratitude. Most parents wouldn’t appreciate their children always making requests without saying “thank you” for what they’ve already received. God sees it the same way. He wants us to ask him for what we need and want. More than 20 times in the New Testament, we’re told to “ask” him. But he wants us to ask with gratefulness.

The Bible urges us to be specific in our requests—and our praises. Instead of a simple “thank you for everything,” he wants us to tell him what we’re grateful for. When I say to my wife, “I’m so grateful for you,” she tells me to be specific. She likes to hear what I appreciate about her and what I’m grateful for about her.

God wants to hear the same things. So when you pray, tell God what you’re thankful for. Prayer is one of the most important ways we tell God “thank you.”

Thanking God in advance is a big step of faith. The Bible says that when we have the faith to thank God ahead of time for an answer to our prayers, miracles happen. The more thankful we are, the more God works in our lives.

The Bible says that God inhabits the praise of his people. He empowers and uses our thanksgiving as an instrument of power in our lives.

I haven't had to climb down into the well since 2003.

I really would have preferred 'being low on popsicles" as the big problem of the day.

    Edit, a while later:
Got lucky and was able to "fix" it with a hammer.
Rap lightly on the side of the hi/lo pressure relay with the rubber end of the hammer.
Too hot to turn a small project into a big one by being curious and taking the cover off to inspect the relay contacts.
On the "to do" list though.
Already 92ºF and the popsicle supply is back to the top of the things to do list.

Another hot soupy mess outside today. Storms on the way to hopefully wring out some moisture.

Hot and humid here today so far. Going to be hot up north too. Hope the humidity burns off!
Last August was like that here. It was nice, but the pond got cold quick, and swimming wasnt as much fun.
