Forgot this in the car. Thanks to Molly Midwinter for the FHC decal. Ive been wanting to get one and other swag. Wanted to put it on the cage on my ladder racks, but a tad too big. Maybe on the tailboard. Sure to turn some heads.
What we really want to know from Midwinter is were the walnut chips from one of those "Highly valuable walnut trees"
my ladder rack cage with a couple inches of clearance is in the way but i managed to get it on the glass. It was dusk so ill snap a pic tomorrow.
I managed to get it on the window between it and the cage. Not as visible as id like but my first swag! Poor pic as it was at dusk.
Not really a good pic and taken at dusk. I think i zoomed in too. Try to get a better one. Shouldve washed the window too but very tight quarters.

Hello all! We just arrived back in Hell... First, I want to say "Thank you all who took the trek" out to the land! We love having everybody! Second, Molly, quit taking pictures of me from the side, I know I'm Fat but "DAM"!!! This Covid crap has just killed any type of weight loss I had in mind... Next, we'll post pictures after Chris pulls them from her camera tomorrow. We're beat from the drive and unpacking. There will be another trek up again in about a month if anyone chooses to come out, I'll post the dates. We so much enjoyed everyone! This week and into next there is a logger taking about 60 trees that I counted and about 30 smaller ones for thinning out up the hill to the rocky ledge up the land, I marked many more yesterday afternoon. Lastly, Midwinter "KEEP YOUR COOKIES HOME"!!! Did I not say I was fat? Or at least "HIDE" them from me... They were just sooooooooooooooooooo Good! Maybe I worked off a couple pounds while I was up there.
I hope you were able to get some thi gs checked off your list of items this trip, Dave. It must be along list, moving forward.
Yeah, I'm sure many of you know the drill, you can only move so fast! The money situation was the big hurdle but I actually didn't have any issues at all. The paper work sucks though, Chrissy and I signed our name like we were joining the military again... Time, it's now just time!
I truly hope things are going he right direction Dave and you can get to building your new future. I know Jersey can’t wait to take more of your money ASAP. You deserve to live a better lifestyle.
Dave, if don’t want to answer I understand, but are you trying to pay for everything out of saving as still have house bills in NJ or hell? Only questioning as mortgage rates are lower than inflation
So Dave, being a fat guy myself I will ask...Do you think you don't look fat in head on pictures?? Just asking, because when I get dressed in the morning and check myself out in the mirror, I think damm, you are looking good today! Then someone snaps a picture of me and I am like who is that Ogre?? Glad you are getting your property ready Brother!!
I nearly lost beer on that one Reminds me.. this last weekend after I got done mowing and the storm was coming in.. I was standing in the yard with shorts on, no shirt, just loving the light rain and wind. Chazsbetterhalf snapped a pic of me.. She asked me if she could post it to the site.. I said "I'd rather you didn't, it's a family friendly site.. that'll scare kids"
Lyle, you know you'll always get an answer from me to you! Yes and No. Now that doesn't make sense but I'll put it this way. I have a nice savings Buffer, so "I" think anyway. What I own here, I own. I have the full equity of the house here for the cushion. The more I have "paid for" up there is the less I have to borrow and pay interest on. I already have the land valued with the well installed at 2/3's more than it's initial purchase price which was a big help because I already have full equity in the land. As it is now, Chrissy and I have put out the better part of $55,000.00 into what we have, and that's cash from our savings, I feel we've done OK so far. Where I'm going with this is, less is more down the road. The more I spend now, the less I will have to down the road. We set up 2 savings and a Checking account while up there. I shopped for the best construction loan around. The "Big" banks like Bank of America and TD don't want to touch Construction loans! It's to much paper work for them, they like easy! All the Credit Unions will go with construction loans because they know they will get the future business, they will from me. I went with Service Credit Union which was originally debuted Air force Credit Union in 1957. They are large in New England, especially NH. My objective to get to it is, (Get house built), Move crap from here to said home in NH. (Market this place) "here in hell", Sell house "in hell" transfer funds from house here "In hell" to house funds in NH. I can do this and still maintain tightly until we are fully in NH. Yes, it'll be swinging 2 houses but we/I can do it and Regardless of construction up there, I've past my window where people are seriously looking to buy at the shore according to some of the real estate gurus, although there are always people looking. I can't go to NH, put crap in storage then re-re move it again when house is built. Also, I can put a stipulation on sale here to stay for 6 months or so, but when I sell, I wanna go! If I rent up there, I'm just paying someone else's mortgage for them and I don't want to get locked into a lease. Now, I gotta move at "bank speed" and builders speed. My way of thinking I suppose... I can say this from an old quote, "Rome wasn't built in a day" Oh, and I did lock in at 3.125%
