So I thought things have been progressing slowly the last two weeks but after measuring my piles, I estimate to have 160 cords cut and split so far. Side by side are the current oak pile and the current mixed hardwood pile. Have plenty of rounds to get split. Also pictured are the pallets of long wood that will go to a few people with larger fire places. Have the big splitter in the oak pile as there are a lot of big rounds and the small splitter in the mixed pile since they are all easy enough to pick up.

Been going strong every day since Saturday, putting in 5-6 hours each day with this heat. The current oak pile is up to 85’ long and the mixed is just over 90’.

This oak pile will be finished tomorrow once I get these big ugly pieces split down to burning size. I have the small splitter currently working on the cherry rounds- I have all smaller manageable pieces piled up on one end of the pile. Once the oak is done, I will be moving the tw6 into the cherry and finish up all of the bigger pieces utilizing the log lift. The small splitter will go to starting the next oak pile which has a couple cords of smaller easier to lift pieces. It’s like a chess board at the moment but as a friend of mine always says “plan your work and work your plan.”

Got this oak pile done finally. 100’ long. Just have to finish the mixed pile next to it.

Oh heck yeah. Working on a cherry pile (maybe 5-6 cords) and started another oak as well. I’m not stopping until Labor Day

Some elevated shots of my wood piles and logs. In the second pic you can see 3 separate windrow piles all right around 100’ long
