At some point many years ago we are pretty sure that there was possibly cow pasture here. As every once on awhile we could smell the manure. I always did enjoy that smell. No clue why.
I will sort and grade them by size then pack them up and they will sit in the AC till tomorrow and go to produce auction.
Dang i wish i lived next door to you! I could patrol around your garden and scare off crows, deer, ground hogs and sasquatches ... And grizzly bears...
I have the grizzly bears and sasquatches and groundhogs under control but the dang deer are out of control in the sweet corn.
Funny issue going on with my summer squash, I have 4 of them planted in grow bags. At first they were growing great then the cucumber beetles moved in to them and also my zucchini which are grown in-ground. The summer squash have struggled with fungal issues since then, producing "ok" fruit but way slower than the zukes. For whatever reason, the zukes planted in ground seem far more resilient to the bugs (which are still present but not terribly). Lesson learned for next year - don't bother with growing either of those in pots or bags. In-ground has proven to be far superior in both growth and fungal/insect resiliency.
We're you feeding anything to the ones in the bags, or just watering? Possibly a nutrient deficiency, making them more susceptible, or potentially rootbound.
Thanks for the heads up... I found one this evening on the plant... I then removed it for a picture before taking it to the far back yard...
So.. we got curious this evening and dug up 2 plants.. Booyah.. most definitely garlic Chazsbetterhalf never had such hot garlic before Man is that good. All were individual bulbs.. not a typical bulb.. is that because they are growing wild??
I am not an expert but watched a lot of videos about it as my small crop last year bombed. when they have been in the ground too long and the foliage is dried out, the cloves start to separate. At least that was what I got from my research.
