I’ve spent the last 6 days in Mexico at an ocean resort with the family. It felt good to take a break but it also felt good to get back to the wood pile. It was right around 90 every day in Mexico and it was 94 when I was done around 1:30 today. Going to have a hot stretch coming up the next few days but I did get all this cherry cut today. Probably close to 3 cords

I took a dip in the pool once I got home but I still have the sweet smell of fresh cut cherry on my hands

That’s a lot o’ wood. Those slimmer rounds will dry out quick quick once split. You must be one tired pup at this point.

Nope, no way, ain't happening for me! Mid 90's here and I've got 5 loads of logs Chip Drop sent me a few weeks ago. We had one cool morning and I bucked most of one load and haven't touched them since. I'm thinking mid September before I start processing again.

The dip in the pool must have been sweet! 75° pool temp is optimum in my opinion.

75 is freezing for a pool! I really like 80-85 but right now the pool is 89. It’s not as refreshing but it gets the job done. Plus, it saves me taking a shower if I want to come inside and sit on any furniture

This is our 10th summer in this house and I’ve only had 2 years where the pool didn’t hit at least 90. The highest was 94 for my now 9 yo 1st bday party. Air temp was 103 that day. No relief anywhere but inside

That's a lot of wood to process in these temps. Good for you. No pools here, 98f here today.

Got a call yesterday that the field where we had been dragging out tops from the select cut was to be mowed today. Fortunately we had just got all the trunks bucked. Went yesterday and loaded and hauled a trailer load home, really hot. Got up this morning and unloaded the trailer and headed back to get the rest. By 10 AM it was 83, I was dying. Got the trailer loaded higher than I’ve ever loaded and filled the truck bed so that I couldn’t see behind me using the mirror. Got the truck unloaded tonight, do the trailer tomorrow. Calling for mid 90 and heat index over 100. Yippee!

8am and I can already wring the sweat out of my shirt! It’s sticking to me like I just got out of the pool.
