WWW had to go to south Denver today, he said the smog and pollution was so bad he could smell and taste it! Eeeeewwwww. I recall going down there once a month on Fridays for corp meetings back in the day, so I remember, but the population has exploded, I cannot imagine what it is like now. We lived north 100 miles, and year after year we could see the brown cloud creeping up more and more. I literally remember showering the day after our S Denver meetings I could smell the pollution when I wet my hair before the shampoo. Very sad, it used to be a wonderful place to live. Oh well, it is what it is.

Newfoundland spring is well after southern New Hampshire. Come thanksgiving it is well below the donut (F) with lots of snow. Spring comes about June.

Hmm. I think ours run a bit later. I guess I've never really took notice of when exactly they come and go before. But I think our spring started in may instead of march this year. The seasons have moved ahead. Grandfather has spoken of years ago, winter was in full force in October and you'd be putting out fish traps in march. Now days it's more like you might or might not have a white Christmas.

It was an interesting morning. I looked out the front door window and saw a horse in my neighbors yard. They don't have a horse. It escaped it's paddock and went through some yards. I found the hoof prints out back and in the side yard. I went and let the owner know and he got it back in the paddock.

This afternoon, we had a great visit from Midwinter and her husband. They were dropping off old hewn beams that I will find something to do with. I gave them a tour around the property and house.

If you have a chance to meet her, it is quite a treat. Great folks they are.

During the visit, we talked about us possibly hosting a mini GTG later this summer or early fall if any of the New England folks are interested. I have two or three major projects to get done, but I could always take a day or so to kick back and meet up.

FJ tires have good tread but they are old an weathered, one cracked and is going flat. I called roadside assistance twice and after waiting like 20 minutes BOTH times I give up. I'll try again tomorrow, just get it towed and 4 new shoes on it.

Growing up in this part of town, there were a lot of horses back in the 1970's and 80's. A few got loose too. I really did a double take this morning as it didn't quite register in my mind.

Got about 25% of the floor nailed down tonight. Started making stupid mistakes and decided to take a break. I was going to finish tomorrow either way.

Going to try to get up early tomorrow and go give Menards some more of my money before work.

Thanks BK, so have them delivered to a tire store here to mount and balance? But I'd still need a tow to get it to the tire store?
