Good afternoon all. We bought 2 cords from Chaz's best friend FIL. Delivered the first 2 face cords this morning. He is 81. So I get to start working on that today. A lot of splits he does are really big and are going to need respliting. But I need to figure out how to get some pallets down. Humm puzzle. Oh well let see what happens.
    Stay safe and stay healthy.

Oh trust me, I won't. Took Holly for a run then came down and decided how I was going to tackle the pallets. They are stacked 5 high. Remember people, I am only 5' tall. So, well anyway, the first one, I worked it over and got it down to lean back across the stack. Then took a 6' tow strap and attached it and dragged over to where I want it with the ATV.
Now I am sitting on front porch having a beer as everything up there is in full sun. Have about 6 pieces of shoulder season to split and stack and then I can start on Carl's wood.
Well Carl just dropped a 2nd load. Will get pics in a bit.

This is the 2 elm that Chaz dropped. Not counting winter, when is a good time to split this? It was standing dead.

Yea i am thinking that also. I was trying to figure out what I could do to entertain myself this afternoon. So one of the things was to go up and trim the small branches off so I could mow in that area. I know a chainsaw would be quicker but that is not one of my options . Well in the end mowing ended up the priority.
So much for that idea. lol Nothing serious. During the course of mowing I had to make a pit stop. Well took about a 20 minutes break. Went to start it and nothing. The only thing I can think of, I didn't have it completely off. Did I ever mention I hate lawn mower's.

I'm not fond of them either. The last time mine wouldn't restart, it was because the air filter was clogged.

    Good morning.

We got a couple of heavy downpourstuff yesterday. Even if they were short in duration, some is better than none. Still, could have used more.

    Stay safe

Good morning everyone! We got about a cupful of rain yesterday. But, I did get some apple split, and moved a stack of birch. Temps in the 70's today, so I'll split some of the dead oak I got a few weeks ago. Back in the 90's this weekend. 5llcYvI.png Have a great day all!

Well. What do you know. We just took delivery of fuel oil. Our first in about 4 yrs. $1.32/gal. Just under 200gals.

It's used only for heat, as our hot water is propane.

11cord css'd. Another 2+ at ,my SIL's. We should be good with fuel oil until 2024, at least.

Good morning everybody. Well last load of wood was delivered at 6:30 this morning. Chaz needs to set up some pallets for me for the new wood. He needs to put some t post in and then put a pallet over them to make a back stop. Don't have to crib. Seen somebody on here do that.
Wasn't that bad yesterday Jeff. I have other wood I can split but need to figure out where Chaz wants it stacked. Thanks for the invite Jeff.
Fog lifted just a short time ago. So have to give the yard about 3 hours to dry out before i can mow otherwise the tires will just spin.
Have a good day. Stay safe and stay healthy.
