Overcast and foggy here. My area rarely gets to see any phenomena in the sky. Most likely be overcast all week. Oh, doesn't help that I broke my binoculars last week (just in case the clouds forget to cover up the skies). A friend in VT and I always post on FB that we know when a celestial happening arrives because of the cloud cover.

    Certainly can agree with that

Seems like whenever the Leonid or Perseid meteor showers are due, nothing bit clouds for a week

I'm not a fan, but I guess that is no surprise to me. I have never been drawn to the style of the original Bronco's, they just do absolutely nothing for me. My love for them doesn't start until 1978.

I'll give them this though, they did it WAY better than Chevy did with the new Blazer!

Well, I finally got to see the comet. I had to get up at 1:30 AM and it was still clear out so I found the comet. My SisterIL posted this link to help me find it. Stellarium Web Online Star Map
You have to allow your location but without it I don't think I would have seen it. Overcast this morning so the dawn sighting wouldn't have happened here.

I some rain that is one of those storms that go around and around. Same storm over and over. Wasn't so strong here as it was just west and south of us. The ground was covered with quarter size hail. One resident has 14 blue spruce uprooted. Another had a tree come through their roof. Some outbuildings blew and rolled several feet from their foundation. Here we got downpours and lots of runoff. Was really outrageous.
Severe storm brings hail, knocks down trees in York County
Even with the storms, we did go vote.

I was in Topsham I don’t think I ever stood outside in rain that hard for the 5 minutes I had to. Never got anything at home, just some misty sprinkles.

    DELIVERING CONSEQUENCES

Talk about a tough consequence! Moses, the great leader of the Exodus and recorder of the Ten Commandments, was not allowed to enter the Promised Land because he blatantly disobeyed God. Moses pleaded with God to change His mind, but God followed through with the consequence.

Even great leaders and great kids can make serious errors. In a culture of declining moral standards, following through with the right consequences can feel unloving and harsh. But developing habits of obedience in our children requires that we establish clear boundaries and consistently enforce the consequences when they disobey.

Though it may seem harsh, delivering consequences consistently is an act of love.

    Scripture

But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”
    Numbers 20:12 NIV

Not without a lot of drywall repair.
