Interesting. Presque Isle is a town in Maine, didn't figure anywhere else used it. It's a bastardized version of presquile which means peninsula in french.

The French established four forts in Western PA and claimed the frontier during the 1700s. The peninsula shape forms a natural protective barrier for the harbor. Presque Isle State Park is one of the most unique public parks I have ever visited. http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/findapark/presqueisle/

Fort Le Boeuf, which was established in nearby Waterford, was named after a creek that is now called French Creek. At the time, the creek was named after the roaming bison in the area, La Riviere au Boeuf.

Time for some caffeine to get ready for a 12 hour shift. The weather looks to be great today. That makes it better for all. You guys enjoy, and have a safe one and a good one.

Just curious, say someone responds to the add. Comes and cuts down the tree, but there is damage or an injury. Who is liable?

Probably the guy with the saw and the landowner who requested it to be cut. I'm no lawyer though.

Hmm. Falls on house and I'd be leaving in a hurry. "Hablo no anglais"

My neighbors, who felt the pressing need last year to let me know that working on projects in my garage (grinding and welding) DURING THE DAY was a "problem", had NO ISSUES launching fireworks off until almost 4AM this morning.
Last week it was nailing up roofing until 1AM.
Tonight it's 2230 and one of these neighbors is cutting his frigging grass.

Funny how the "rules" only work when it's convenient.

Aaaaaa. Next three days off. Time for some relaxing.

I do have to cut the grass though.
    And weed eat.
And build railing around camp porch to make ins. co. happy.
And repair some siding on camp for same reason.
And move some smaller stone so I can rake an area and plant seed.
And finish splitting next years wood supply and stack it.
    Hmmmm

Well I got the gum down then worked on some various projects around the yard and now I think it's time to relax. Dogs had the same idea.
