    A short update. I'm home again. Surgery was a real bitch for sure. The most painful one I've had and this was the 14Th surgery for me. I've lost most of the use of my left hand and I am left handed. I can't write nor type except to peck with one finger.

    Surgery turned out to be more complicated than expected and took 9-10 hours. When I started to awake I had the worst pain I've ever had. Did not think I was going to make it but did. Now laid up for 6 months. But I'm alive and with my Judy again.

    I pray my Dad's wife will come out well. She has been putting off colon surgery for diverticulosis since he passed away last fall, and was taken to the hospital for a neighbor tonight.

    I'm afraid she has never given a lot of details, but I do know this was in a different place than the one she was scheduled for so now the previous one needs addressed and I'll wait and see what she says about this one and the previously scheduled surgery one. I pray she feels better too but also that she gets to a place she will actually have the surgery done. Poor thing has had so many surgeries already. That said, their dogs are now in heaven with Dad, and her new cat as of Friday will be okay for a couple days by herself if (hopefully) she does sched the surgery.

    After a while you do tend to be a bit gun shy on surgeries. I just had #14 and pray no more. I'll pray for her too.
