I just ordered the SS J model with the standard table. My girlfriend wants the bigger one. Save the jokes. Will the standard suffice using a 5 cord a year household with logs at max 12 " in diameter?

Grab the dimensions of both, make cardboard cutouts of each one, throw them on a sawhorse and see which one makes more sense. If the figures out that the extra ten inches is best for her, then get it for her and put her to work!!! Looks like an additional $104 for the bigger table. You certainly don’t want intermediate sized splits falling off only to have to lift them back up to the splitter.

The larger production table wasn’t an option when I ordered my Supersplit. If I were to buy one now I’d absolutely get the bigger table. Not so much for amount of cords, but for staging rounds, half rounds, and splits. I’d also look into the HD model for the heavier flywheels/additional grunt for tough pieces.
