    Probably 20 years ago we started skinning our chickens. I prefer it and man do not miss the boiling water, plucking and stench.

    Good morning everyone. Had some errands to run this morning. VA. Bank and redemption center. Never good got out of the truck except at Va. So treated myself to a toasted raisin bagel with cream cheese and a caramel iced coffee.
    Happy birthday to your grandson. I thought he was about 3.
    We're also going to have another hot day. Was already 80 by 10:00.

    Well I’m hoping they are as good as people say they should be. They were very healthy birds.... Dad couldn’t believe how big and healthy they were for being 1 day short of 9 weeks old... this will dictate on what I do next year...

    Yes, Cornish Cross... they said 6-8.... we were busy at week 7 & 8 ... and Dad was available and wanted to help on Week 9.... so that what we did... I just posted the some of the adventures on the chicken thread under interest....

    Tropical here this morning. Temp 70f, dew point 70. Temps heading up to 90 today. Yuk

    I'll be getting my walk in early. Some grocery shopping and then chillax for the rest of the day.

    Good morning all. We have rain and we are supposed to go to Mom's today to unload firewood and I am cleaning carpets. rain is good right now but I won't be able to have the doors open to dry carpets and campinspecter will get soaked. We see what it is like before the ferry leaves.

    Good morning everybody. Like everybody else, 84 with clear blue skies.. this morning Holly went outside with Chaz. He noticed her sitting in the driveway looking down. Chaz went over to check and it was a yearling deer. They were just looking at each other. Then then the deer just wander off. She did good. She didn't take off after it.

    More muggy weather today. Cloudy, though. Hopefully even some needed rain, later tonight.

    I'll be going for an early walk in a little bit. About a mile loop. I try to get that walk in every day I'm not wooding, or some other yard work. Then off to do some bulk shopping at BJ's.
