That roof and porch look really nice! I don't see a chimney pipe though...

I like the heat. Not a fan of oppressive humidity though.

High temperatures have the ability to hold more water vapor. Most summer days around here when everyone is saying how humid it is the temps are in the low 90’s but relative humidity is below 50%. What you really need to focus on is the dew point. Yesterday for example we had a high in the upper 80’s. At the neighborhood gathering, everyone was complaining how humid it was but according to my weather ap, relative humidity was 43% but the dew point was 68 which makes for sticky air. Friday it hit 97 here but relative humidity was 30-35% all day but it felt sticky because dew point was in the upper 60’s

I don't care for high humidity when it is cold, either.

I agree. This heat and humidity is beating me up. Darn Virus I got in Jan, then the pneumonia I had in May along with Congestive heart failure leaves me very short of breath except when I am sitting doing nothing in the AC. Glad I never smoked.

I was wondering how you were doing. It is 96 a little humid. But north of we are hearing thunder. We might get a little rain. Just sitting on the porch reading. Moving also makes it hard for me in this weather. You take care.

I used to be a medic at a casualty staging unit is DaNang VietNam. In the early darkness of the morning, we loaded about 40 litters along with about 20 walking wounded onto busses. Drove to the flight line and then loaded them onto aircraft for evacuation. Somehow they didn't seem that heavy then. I was in a lot better shape back then. No land mines where I was, but we did have to put up with nightly shelling from rockets. One of our most memorable attacks came on the eve of the 4th of July. To this day I have very little tolerance of fireworks displays despite how hard I try. The flash reminds me of tracers and the bangs remind me of the bombs. My black lab leans up against my leg every year when the fireworks are set off. We catch it from three different directions normally, This year not so bad.

Hey ya wanna know what's STUPID ????
Yesterday I spent most of the day moving logs on a property infested with mulberry trees. As I drove under them hour after hour I ate a metric chit ton.
Then comes the 1/2 hour bouncy tractor ride home...........
Well about 15 minutes into the ride I started praying for a faster tractor.

Thank you for your service. There was a story on the news recently about a veteran with the same issue with fireworks. As much as he tries to enjoy them they bring him back to a difficult time in his life. Something for all of us to consider when celebrating.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

Although mulberry leaf has largely been shown to be safe in both human and animal studies, it may lead to side effects in some people. For example, some people have reported adverse effects, such as diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, bloating, and constipation, when taking supplements

Hotter than haddees (sp?) here. Seriously thinking about an air conditioner for next year.
