The Def Leppard vid was a nice surprise ! Brothers Gibb had to be watched. Then Alan Jackson....... dam. That song brought me back to that morning. All my giggles are gone. But a great reminder.
I was in a garage at work when wife phoned me at the first one and screamed when the second one hit when we were on the phone.
My 1985 JVC boom box is in the garage and usually on, the power button broke so we use the plug (that is hard to access) for power, I walked through there today and J Geils was on, had to do a little groove as I walked through
The guy I was working with called me and said-"They hit us.." We stayed on the phone for the next few hours watching different broadcasts and trying to make sense of what was happening. The next day we prepped a welding truck to drive out east to help, but were told not to until the situation was assessed, by the Sheriffs Dept. We didn't go, not sure what good we would have done if we did. Probably just got in the way.
