    Thanks you all. Doctor says from bad to mild it is Way low on the mild end. Going to be a lot of therapy and he will need to just be a foreman instead of owner/hardest worker.

    his best crewman always told him when it’s too hot to work we stop and would make it happen.

    Never had medical checkups or did any prevention and now it has caught up.

    Time for an update folks. I was surprised with a telephone call this afternoon and my surgery is finally scheduled for July 7. It's been a long wait for this.

    The amazing thing is that I could have it done next Monday. However, Judy and I celebrate our 58th wedding anniversary next Tuesday. I just could not do this to her so I asked for the following week.

    The funny part is that I had completely given up hope for the surgery. I tried calling yesterday but could not make connections. So today I called my old doctor at the spine center and asked for an appointment and got one made. So just a couple hours at most after that call they called me about the surgery. Funny how things happen.

    Backwoods Savage good news indeed.

    Our prayers may have had an effect. Ed is speaking much better and arm moving better. Next is standing and walking. I am hopeful for a pretty good recovery.

    led has been moved to the rehab unit, which means he is working on his exit. Speech and mobility much improved. I am hoping he is pretty active and on his own by end of July

    Realized last evening that I had the date wrong for my surgery. It is on the 6th rather than the 7th. He does surgeries on Mondays and Fridays. They offered me Monday the 29th but because of our anniversary I said move it back. With the Holiday coming up, that meant no surgery on Friday 7/3 so 7/6 was the next in line. Naturally I have not yet received the call from hospital but will no doubt be hearing from them very early next week with some instructions. Also my eldest son is coming to spend some time with mama while I am in the hospital. That will be nice...I think.

    Let us hope your prediction comes true. My guess is that he is the type of man who wants to rehab asap and get back to work. That will be in his favor.

    Time is getting real close no for the surgery. Have to be at the hospital at 5:00 am and it's an hour's drive so for sure we'll be up before the chickens. The good part is that the surgery is early. I hate it when you have to wait until noon or so with nothing to eat of drink. The eating part is not bad but no drink is terrible. But I can understand.

    Had to go for a couple tests and failed one but not enough to stop the surgery. Found out I have a bladder infection so they said take the antibiotics including one the morning of surgery.

    All prayers appreciated.
