I really want to laugh at this but it's almost more tragic than funny. Someone actually went through the trouble to recover a 17 foot tree weighing-who-knows what, transported it to wherever it is, unloaded it, took pictures, made an ad, all the while thinking they were going to make a couple grand for all their troubles. Wow. I can't empathize and see the world through the hipster lens I guess. Maybe someone in California would pay big money for what the natural world did and put this trophy on display as a piece of abstract art somewhere. Maybe I'm just not cool enough to be a visionary for this sort of thing. All I see is a tree to sit on while I'm surfcasting at the beach.

Probably a hurricane blow down. People make all kinds of things from them. I'd never pay it but there's an azz for every seat.

Come on... you don't want to shell out a grand and change for rounds you can't lift in someones driveway? LOL. Sheesh... I don't pay that much in heating oil for a year.

I can’t find the ad right now but we have a lady in town that is offering you the opportunity (for $50) to come get “seasoned” pine logs out of her woods that are buried in leaves and a few pricker bushes.

Definitely a pet peeve to see people advertise “seasoned” wood that isn’t. I’ve sent a few messages to folks “weathered is not seasoned”!

I laugh thinking when they see my message and don’t reply. Thinking about their reaction.
