I'm pretty sure that's not his intentions.

    Thanks!
Ended up using zip ties for attaching the mesh to the frame and the regular metal roofing screws for the roof hold good in the frame as well, just needed to drill a hole for them to get a grip on and they went right through, I had to grind off the tips as they were a bit long.

So the first cohort of 10 has been living in the coop and run for a month or so now. We have a second cohort of 6 that are about 7 weeks younger that we need to introduce to the older cohort. We have 2 roosters in each cohort although the older roosters are both bantams. We have set up a dog crate in the run and have been putting the younger birds in the crate every day for the whole day. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of aggression by the older birds, we are going to wait a few more weeks until the younger cohort gets a little bigger/closer in size to the older ones and then just let them out of the crate one evening and see what happens. Any other advice tips on introducing new birds?

Pretty much how I do it, but I just put them in the rooster area late in the evening....... They'll go through a pecking order for a while... hopefully it doesn't get too bad...

UV light attracts them then sucks them into the trap in the bottom with a fan.
