What about this saw? 0616202029.jpg I'm gonna say Screwloose is the cause of it. He was showing off his big surprise in another thread. Of course, I HAD to show my hunny......
When we went to the tractor dealership to pick up parts for the 'Bota, they just happen to be Stihl dealership too......
They just happened to have one with old price tag on it, and even took $25 off that...Father's Day and a little begging... :rofl: ...
It now has a new home in GOAT TOWN...:rootintootin::dancer::thumbs:...
As Keith said, I'm quiet as a church mouse...

Since I already have a 28" bar, I'm gonna see if I can trade it for another size. I have 20, 25 and 28"...what would be a good next choice?
Where is a good site for accesories?

Your wife actually got off cheap in my opinion. If the tables were turned it could have in fact led to a financial demise. Take "we went to a saw dealership that also sold tractors........" as an example.

Put one on my 064 today. I have several all from Ebay. I think you'll like it. 20200617_163915.jpg

Ok, dumb question time, the term skid plate is self explanatory...but I have never heard of them on saws before...is it really necessary? I mean unless you are really hard on your saws...not seeing the big benefit here...

I put one on the 064 due to a slight crack on the bottom near the handle. Shores things up. The others are on saws that are not worn on the bottom and I would like them to stay that way.

Supposedly reinforces the cheap plastic handle tank. I hear the husky ones have magnets to catch the screws that shake out.

At least it seems like your wife is ok with it. I spotted a couple of 026’s in a customers basement (older couple, had a owb but gave it up a few years ago, ended up giving the boiler to their grandson). I’ve been meaning to ask him if he’d like to part with one or both of them. At the same time I think “Holy chit, my wife is gonna kill me if I bring another saw home”!
