Changed oil in the truck and van, went to an auction where the bids were way too high, cleaned up the shop a little, and am currently enjoying a beer and grilling some brats.

There must be useful storage space up there. Create attic treasure for future generations!

Spent some quality time with the Bota today.

Ripped out the old RR ties from abandoned septic, and started filling in the hole.

Only about 60 more trips to the upper part of the property for more fill.

While it won't get that hot up here, it's stopped to be mid to upper 80's. Most of the work week. Still too hot for us as well, unless we're on the lake then that's fine.

Grilled out some awesome shrimp marinated in a few Mexican spices. Then those shrimp went into a soft taco with cilantro, pickled red onion, and a little sour cream. A side of Mexican style rice and that was dinner. Along with a blue caribbean pint drink and it's all good. Gotta get on the tractor to mow now.

No, Potanipo is kinda small for the amount of boat traffic it gets. And the launch isn’t ideal with the lake outlet less than 10 yards away.

We went to highland lake in stoddard. I have a couple friends that have houses and even better boats that could tow someone off if the first outing didn’t go as planned.

Talked to my buddy yesterday...he is wholesale only dealer in Tennessee...he said auction prices are stupid high right now...he watched a van go through the (dealers only) sale that brought almost double what I have been seeing the same vehicle advertised for here in Ohio (retail!)
    That's nuts!

Little or no rain here for about the last three weeks. Everything is VERY dry. That means the John Deere 310J can go just about anywhere on our property! :D

And it has over the last week. I put about 14 hours on it in the last two days. And a good bit more on a few prior days off earlier this week. Making up for the wet spring down time. I’ve been pulling stumps on trails and building up low spots.

Also been working a project behind/near the house and barn. Moved about a full dump truck load of medium to large rocks from a pile I made over the years into a low spot. Rocks came from here ECEF0730-27B0-4D31-9B70-06336824A994.jpeg which is now all cleaned up and I will now be able to keep cut with brush hog. I also have gone down the left side of this road and reached in with that extendable backhoe and pulled out all the rocks I pushed in when building this road up higher over the years. 084A06CF-97ED-45E0-8A4F-24D1286105E8.jpeg
Once all stones were out, and I tore out some scrapper trees, I then had room to back in and remove some stumps. Then back dragged things off. It’s getting there. I’m trying to get it so I can keep it mowed with brush hog like I do along the right side. Should be done along the whole road soon. I used all the rocks as fill to raise up an area behind our landing where I burn the brush and junk trees I remove. My slightly larger fires. Kinda tough to see. But. You can see in the back on the left and behind piles where I am finishing off an area. Much of that was even lower.

This entire area where you see the two burn piles and the pile of clay and stone will be leveled off and eventually finished off for an area to work with the horses. 0649B7E0-2422-47EB-AA78-33725268F52E.jpeg
My son and I finally finished off this area so we can keep it cut with the zero turn now. Time to cut the grass! D62EA819-3678-443D-96BD-32DBD1DDCA9D.jpeg

I have made the area behind burn piles about three times it’s size over the last week. (Off and on project.) Lot of work has been accomplished over the last three months.

I hope all of you and yours are healthy and well.

It was mostly harbor freight tools going for same prices as in the store, if not more.

I got some made in Germany Bessey HD clamps for $10 each....look brand new. They sell for $35 online. I'll be able to pass these down to my kids....but everyone else would rather spend $8 each on some chinese junk.
