Had some straight line winds yesterday, got a call for some trees down at the neighbor's. This is what I walked into.

Truck is likely totaled, house was missed thankfully, but what a mess.

We cut chipped & hauled till almost dark & got it pretty well cleaned up. This snapped off Red Oak was a bit
exciting. Paul held the split together with the forks while I made the cut.
    IMG_62771.jpg IMG_62751.jpg
He then backed away & let the split open & the top dropped safely.

Chipper ran for a couple hours too.

We're getting some good wind gust today but nothing like your area received. I was burning some pine in the fireplace and right after it got going pretty good, the winds came in. I let it burn down and then poured 6 five gallon buckets of water on it.

Scary what mother nature can do in almost the blink of an eye. Too bad about the PU. Good work and wood for you though.

I am not a fan of GMC/Chevy, but I feel for that guy. No one deserves to have their truck treated like that by mother nature. She can be a bitch.

From what I've heard the Farmer's Almanac is calling for a heavy hurricane season this year. If I remember correctly, the major weather gurus "" were calling for a big hurricane season last year. I am more likely to follow the Farmers Almanac than the Weather Channel or other stations.

    Glad everyone was safe.

Ya know there just might be a market for a pickup with a chopped roof. Used to be all the rage.

Glad no one was hurt and damage was not worse.
