    You FHC'ers in northeast Ohio might want to check this out.
    It just popped up on my free firewood alert, I think it's Black Locust?!

    The wilted leaves don't look like locust to me. I'd describe the leaves of locust to be more fern-like.

    Maybe those leaves aren't from the logs.

    Nice looking logs, though. Whatever it is.

    Black Locust when fresh cur center kinda yellow after exposure to sun it gets dark hard to tell from posted picture but the bark looks rough enough from what I can see ( colors vary over the net and on different monitors)

    I checked on this yesterday and they said yes it's still available: silver maple!
    I said silver maple? the wood in the picture looks like black locust, and they
    said oh that wood was taken by the first guy that showed up!
