    Haha yeah me too!

"The “blueprint” for the way forward will be unveiled in Times Square in New York on Sunday at 12 p.m. and delivered to communities across the country."

The "way forward" huh?? I'm sure this will help all kind of relations...

Some of you will remember that back a few months ago, Virginia counties were mustering militias. Someone (not necessarily a member on here) will try to draw a similarity to this article and the militias....

When Virginia had the 2A rallies at the state capitol, most of the attendees were armed, many well armed. No craziness, no shenanigans, no looting, no rioting, no destruction. When the rally/protest was done, they even cleaned up after themselves. It was said that NO rally/protest group had ever left the place cleaner than they found it, like the 2A group did.

For some reason, I cant imagine a gun toting group associated with the current protesters being on the same "level"....

IMO the cops won’t want to respond to calls in those neighborhoods where BLM vigilantes “patrol”.
Violence/crime within the community will go unchecked and will implode on itself. After awhile of lawlessness , residents will want the vigilantes out and the cops back

That sounds like it would be a better outcome than what I was envisioning. If it goes that way, I imagine the cops will still get blamed for the further demise of the communities... and then have even more chit to try to clean up in the end.

This mess makes me ill. Covid, Riots, extremist, lies. I know one thing for sure. Urban living is nothing I want any part of. I was in it when the military sent me there, but when able to exercise my choice, I chose to go rural. I don't know where this is all headed, but I feel for sure that I am in a better position to deal with it living here.

It sounds like they plan on acting on their 2nd amendment rights, and their rights to self-defense.

Not the way I would like to see it done (I am a pacifist), but the 2nd ammendment does allow it.

That is true. And I am a firm believer in the 2nd.

And as we're all aware, their freedom of free speech and freedom to assemble, to peacefully protest, is guaranteed/ protected under the first amendment.

    We see how that's going....

Always somebody looking to take advantage of a situation, damage is being done by rioters not protesters, huge difference. Peaceful protesters should go home when the crap starts and leave easy pickens for law enforcement.

The problem with this is the extremist. When they start shooting at legit police actions. Police officer gets shot by the patrol while trying to arrest a wife abuser. Now what? Not all cops are bad not all vigilantes are good. Its the few that will everyone in either group a bad reputation.

Exactly. Bad apples spoils the whole bunch. But there's a whole lot of bad apples in this "bunch".

And it seems to me that the basis of most of the response lately, is that cops are bad. This action is obviously to second guess the cops, to police the police. That in itself makes a huge statement that you already have a preconceived notion of the outcome. A certain color person gets wrongfully killed by a certain color cop and the world explodes. Im trying to figure out how that's racism? It seems this thought process only works one way...
