Wow, those teeth deserve a lot of respect! My labs have never growled or shone teeth to me. I have see the male snarl at the female if she tried to take his food. But I can reach into their months and take away anything with never a hint of being upset.

I kind of thought that. Dogs have their own ways with other dogs and their way with people. They usually are wise enough to know the difference. I just would never want to be on the receiving end of those teeth. I think I once mentioned the client that had one like your Buddy who thought he was the protector of all the families grandchildren. No one outside of the family dared go near one of the grand kids if that dog was "on duty".

Samson "disappeared" on me Sunday - was getting really worried about the little bugger. Billy Bob introduced him to "under the pool deck" and Samson further explored areas Billy Bob can't fit, apparently there is a void under the pool stairs. GF thought he was stuck and made me pull up a couple deck boards to get him out - there was no reaching him but after getting a light down there he popped out looked at me through the crack and then went back down in the hole. He finally got tired and came out ~4:30 probably been down there 3+hrs.....dirty is an understatement dingleberries on his snout priceless:rofl:

It took some time loon. I had to lay on the deck perfectly silent and hear him scratch every now and then to confirm he wasn't gone off somewhere else.
I even tried firing up the quad a couple times to lure him out - he wasn't as interested in riding as what ever is down that hole:D

I was told that I had to block it in.....it's not very high on the list of things to do:rofl:  He is currently being held on a tether when I'm outside working. Actually allows me to be a bit more productive - don't have to stop and look for him every 10mins. He rarely goes far once the temps are over 85 but he just goes places where I worry about him getting into a snake.

I would be dumping some lime down that hole if I had access to it.

Like the pool. We also keep one full of fresh water. Need to change the water about every three days to keep ahead of skeeters breeding in the water.

JRs can be a handful to keep up with. My daughter has one she just loves. He is very lovable but can't be trusted off a leach. No one can run fast enough to catch him. If he sees something new, he has a shrilling bark/cry which would wake the dead!

I worked with our first jack a lot and she would come on command no matter what she was doing. We have been training him like crazy and he is catching on pretty well. I really hope I can train him to come as well as our first jack Russell. I amp prepared to purchase a shock and tracking collar if needed but I never needed one before.
