I remember many days like that. Finally made it to retirement and catching up on the sleep.
That splitter looks ready to work.

when you have time to do your own work or your SO's...
I'd say when you don't answer to a boss anymore but those with a SO would probably disagree lol

Nice machine. That should be productive. Good luck getting your roller system running. Was just daydreaming about one of those the other day.

That's a good looking machine for sure. You'll get used to the levers quick. Once you've got the rollers figured out I'd bet you'll be really productive.

Like anything, it won’t take long to figure out what you like and don’t like about the splitter. I know that was the case with me. Like amateur cutter said, you’ll also acclimate to it quickly. Looks like you’re already having fun:yes:

Wow. Nice machine. Maybe if you had a belt on the rollers it would move better.

A good place to toss this musing ;)
As I said in a previous post I had been daydreaming about a push through splitter with non powered Conveyor ramp. Sort of like a concave concrete chute you see on concrete trucks. Most likely flat with splayed sides like Yamadogs tho.
My thoughts were of a box type wedge that only splits one layer of wood at a time. I theorized a single layer of splits would/might propel themselves up a short conveyor type chute merely by the splitter pushing a “chain” of splits.
Now I’ve never used a push through splitter or chute so zero experience. Just braindroppings as George Carlon would say.

Anyone ever try such a thing?
