Chazsbetterhalf, I just bought three at TSC!!

Little after 3 pm here. Calves are in stanchions, two ponies tied out, all water tanks topped off. Have to load two steers for their final ride today. They need to be at the processor after 5 pm. Will be butchered tomorrow. As the youngest granddaughter said the other day while she was watering them, "they do look yummy!!!" I agree with her. But she is not allowed to be here today, she was with us when we were loading an old sow that I used for breaking up manure pack. Lou Ann and I worked and fought and finally gave up and put her back in a pen. Audrey told us later she told that sow what we were going to do with her! So we tease her she isn't allowed here on load out day! Oh, Audrey is five years old going on 25!! Here is the project in about an hour.

Have a great day. I hope they load easily as it is to hot to mess with them much. Customers hopefully will be happy in a couple of weeks.

Got them loaded with out difficulty which is always good. Causing them to have an adrenaline dump will cause their meat to be dark, thus the term dark cutter.

Yay, we just got the pool pumping and circulating! My husband had taken the pump off to store in the house over the winter. When he put it on over the weekend, he left out a few parts, which turned up this morning...
Good thing too, because the pool company was never going to get to us, their message said they were getting 200 calls a day.

Their message said they weren't even starting new pools until this fall. We're on our own... we can manage, just takes a lot of trial and error.

Great news, glad y'all got it going. We got the chemicals (alkalinity, calcium, stabilizer and shock) added last night. I will add the salt tonight

Can you just take a water sample into the store and let them check it? That's what we do, then I check it occasionally

Yes, we can take a sample to the pool store. To be honest, I don't check it that much. Just keep chlorine tabs in the skimmer, and shock it now and then. The water stays pretty cool, so not much problem with algae until August or so, when it warms up. The pool setup is 30 years old, the pool itself was put in sometime mid '60's.
