We said screw this and went to the lake at noon. We left Badger at home but took baby Hayden. Badger was sore from the cookout and playing for 6 hours yesterday.

I am happy we did go out on the lake. It was 86° with a real feel of 91°.

Grilled burgers and had leftover Cole slaw, and potato salad and baked beans.

New floor at the cottage! damm project took three days! Yeah, it was no fun at all and the blood pressure was way too high. I can say that I do not plan on ever doing this laminate flooring again! Big thanks to 99 for helping every step of the way!

Horkn Here are some pics of the dock lowering and install of decking. For the first time, I had to move some rocks in order to lower the dock as the ice had shifted them into the way of the dock frame.

My aunt had a camera like this, used it alot during visits after kiddo was born, if I held the snap picture button down 1/2 way for an extra few seconds it would "auto focus". Give it a try?

Wouldn't have anything to do with me, right? :rofl: :rofl:

Our daughter lives in a gated community with a lake. We spent yesterday cruising the lake on their pontoon boat. Very enjoyable.
I think I saw something I have not seen before. Maybe Horkn , yooperdave or any of you boat type people can answer it.
The lake is lined with 1/2 million + dollar houses with fancy boats and boat lifts. On one of the lifts there was an inboard/outboard. On the stern drive unit there was a prop on the bottom of the unit where you would expect it. Above that was a flat piece (stabilizer?) of metal and I would expect that. Now above the stabilizer was another smaller prop. Almost like a dual drive. At least that is what my eyes were seeing.
Were my eyes going funny on me? Went by it twice so don't think t was my eyes. What would be the purpose of the second prop?

Without seeing it I would venture a guess of it being a prop for a trolling motor? Don't know if that boat is the type that would be used for fishing, but around here, most of the larger boats with the larger motors do have a small motor just for trolling...….

It would be more of a skiing boat. Trolling is what I thought. It was not a kicker motor but part of the drive unit. Maybe they could shift out the main drive and engage the smaller prop for trolling is what I thought. Just never seen a set up like that.
