Thanks for the work at Medflight, I take it you are a pilot? One of my good friends is an RN there. We worked together in the ED before he took to the skies. Also worked as a paramedic with a few of the guys there before I became a PA.

Actually, I'm THE mechanic for the Beechcraft King Air they have. Due to paperwork categories with the FAA, BMF can only operate helicopters. This may change some day, but until then I don't work on the helicopters, they don't work on their airplane.
I'm employed by a different company, along with the airplane pilots, that has the FAA required stuff. We work for BMF though, the pilots even wear the uniform.
The airplane is for longer trips and flying in weather the helicopters can't. Most trips are to the Vineyard and Nantucket.

Having to transport COVID19 patients is an issue. In my airplane it's more of an issue because there is no way to filter the air used for air conditioning and heating, to keep the ducts from being contaminated. The airplane interior can be cleaned, the ducts cannot.
So they purchased an isopod enclosure for the stretcher, this is a 6 foot three medtech trying it on for size. Looks like that's the limit for height.

Yes it's very claustrophobic, if you were in it, you would be sedated and intubated.

20200523_174159.jpg been trying to scrounge with Facebook marketplace, so far I've gotten just about nothing. I actually got most of this on the way to a marketplace scrounge, it had a free sign and was in a pile by the road. 20200523_142915.jpg finally finished moving the second rack over, I'm also trying an experiment, I can't get plastic pallets around here, but I see these plastic shelves being thrown out all the time 20200523_142921.jpg two layers bring the pallet up nicely
20200523_154814.jpg more child labor filling in the new rack
20200523_171726.jpg moved the third rack over a bit as well, this gives some room to the tree on the other side of the rack. 20200523_171733.jpg a plastic pallet of a different kind, I hope to get more of these, this will also be an experiment
20200523_155828.jpg he's probably going to be in a trade when he's older, best to get him used to running power tools now.

Oops wrong post, yeah I've seen plenty of them out for the trash around here, that's actually where these came from. This wood in this rack will be burned in '22 or '23, so this will be a couple years test of durability

20200524_190135.jpg talk about feeling old, we found out we were parents for the first time on 9/11/01.
Now she just turned 18, and has finished school, even if the graduation ceremony is not for a while.
I'm not sure where the years went, I just hope the rest of her life has better events to remember.
20200525_113722.jpg after missing out on almost every scrounge I tried for, I got another big pile to scrounge. A bunch of big trees down, the usual random length pieces.
20200525_102242.jpg got two trailer loads this morning, it isn't that warm out, but very humid. I was sweating like a pig, it was nice to be running the 590 again, it's almost been two years since I ran it! 20200525_114420.jpg 20200525_114731.jpg got to love it when a bunch comes pre-split.
I've got a bunch more to go back to, 20200525_145239.jpg 20200525_145358.jpg my youngest on the tag a long bike so she can keep up 20200525_154936.jpg 20200525_150628.jpg 20200525_150450.jpg took another family bike ride on the Ghost trail in Amesbury and Salisbury

Got another load today, but almost died from the heat, even had my 490 overheat a couple times.
Got to love these Echo saws, or maybe the red armor mix oil, I forgot to empty both saws last time I used them, it took a few more pulls than normal, but both fired right up and ran strong.
No pictures, I was sweating too hard to remember a picture

Congratulations to your daughter and best of luck to her! The humidity is even creeping into Maine today, too hot for me to be tackling firewood duties! I’m not as young as I used to be lol.

20200528_080121.jpg water is heavy, when I set up the pool, I set the vertical posts as far out from the pool wall as I could.
The weight of the water has put a sag into the sidewalls, and it is pushing the legs right off the bricks.
20200528_075919.jpg instead of wasting a bunch of water by draining it off, I came up with a better solution 20200528_080112.jpg the tubes are too thin to lift without buckling them, but the connectors are a little stronger 20200528_080117.jpg just a few minutes to reset every vertical tube and brick
    a video of the process.
Turns out that all of these brands are really only made by one company, Best Way, they make the pools for Intex, Coleman, etc.
