Does Claritin help with allergies to generic meds? Lol I have the same thing here with my wife. I'm fine with generic ibuprofen, but my v wife swears that Advil works faster and better. I don't buy that placebo effect.
I'll double down on the Amen That thread was a plague pun intended Part of the reason I took a "vacation" from FHC Hope to resume my visitation here.
Spent time on the tractor with the big mower. Jump a turkey and nearly got her eggs. I left that part of the pasture along. I will be able to see momma tending her nest from my sun room. Later, I put some solar lights on my fence. Kinda fun, I like to walk at night, as do my neighbors. Living on a dead end road has lots of advantages
Quiet morning at 40 degrees. Boiler is on for a little bit. I put the colors up and lots to do today. The big sugar maple is leafing out nicely.
Hayden has been getting me up earlier than typical, as expected. It rained overnight, but nothing like it did last week.
Just a short rain overnight. Looks like they've taken some of the rain out of our forecast and that is good. I really need to get some hoeing done in garden but not much sense in doing a lot just before a rain. Soon we hope to put down straw which will keep moisture in and most of the weeds out.
Been busy the past couple of days and not in a real productive way. Started the demo on the bathroom and realizing how much work (and money) it actually is. So, the TV went out around the time we started the demo. Called the TV repair and they picked it up. $395 to fix it so I said do it. I’d have to spend a lot more to get an OLED TV which is what we need to see the image from the side. Then, we were on the highway and the check engine light comes on in my wife’s SUV. We pulled the code and it’s related to the turbo. Just what I needed at this point. Anyway, the check engine light is off for now and we will see if it comes back on. It’s common on VWs for the turbo to be a problem. Guess by the time this is all over we'll be broke. And I thought we were saving money being in lockdown. Murphy’s law never fails.
I can go to the store for A SINGLE THING, leave with $100 worth of crap, and not realize that I forgot what I went there for in the first place until I'm halfway home.
Maybe she just prefers the candy coating on the Advil? All I've used in forever (since I had to buy it myself) has been ibuprofen. Works perfectly fine for me at a fraction of the cost for 1000 bottle.
Back late last night from vacation....drove 1100 miles straight through. Need to get some coffee and figure out what needs done around here.
Lol. My wife makes me lists. I went shopping on Friday early afternoon to beat any weekend rush. I had a list of 40 things and I supposedly missed the wheat thins, which I don't think were on the list, but not a big deal. We had other crackers. I did pick up 2 racks of ribs that were on sale and not on the list though. We get the coated ibuprofen. Now they make coated but no orange dye ibuprofin, and it's even less expensive. She's good with taking pills, better than I am. My mom taught me wrong and I had to relearn how to take a pill. Tilt your head down, not up like my mom says. Tilting your head up closes your throat, but look down a little and pills go down easier. I still hate any taking big pills though.
Moisture falling gently from the skies. Lots of projects to do today. Going to see Mom and take her the flowers that arrived late and a birthday present from one of her granddaughters. campinspecter plans on cleaning the chimney. I hope Mom doesn't see this. This is for you Midwinter It was windy out. All but two of the balloons survived.
My wife will make me a list, but it will have 15-20 things on it, and its all over the place. I'll miss a few every time.
Got most of the grass mowed yesterday (finally) . Had to replace the drive belt last weekend, as it finally dried out a bit so I wasn't working in mud. So, last Thursday I take the deck off, change the belt and get everything back together and put the battery on the charger. Friday I run it around, everything's fine, so I start mowing. Immediately notice it's scalping on left side of the deck. Ok.. time to adjust the deck. Nope, left blade got bent down on one side about 1/2 inch. So I take the deck back off.. remove blades and head to the Orange store for new blades. So I now can't remember blade orientation, and of course put blades on backwards. So.. drop deck yet again and fix blades. So everything is good now. Start mowing and it starts raining on me. At that point I decided it was officially beer O'clock
