Your dog is a beaut! Seriously, he looks very happy doing what he’s doing-hanging out with you doing wood .stuff

Thanks. He's happy go lucky and definetly a special pup. Constant love from him. Unfortunately he's trying to fight osteosarcoma. We had his leg amputated and he's getting chemo. But in the end, the damm cancer will win out. Just taking it day by day and enjoying the time. I figure he doesn't know what is eventually ahead of him, so I try not to think about it. But its hard not too.

I’m very sorry to hear this. It sounds like you are both fortunate to have one another. I hope his smiles keep up for a good long time.

He just turned 3 beginning of May. From what Ive read and been told, osteosarcoma usually affects dogs around 11. But there's a spike for young dogs around 2 -3 years old. Its very agressive form of cancer.

I was digging around the FHC archives and came across this thread. Looks to me like what you have here is Chinese chestnut. Here's a couple bark pictures of a mature one I found back in the summer. The young darker branch wood with the spotty lenticels is another clue.
