You could also (or instead of using blocks) angle the pipe a bit so the clean out doesn't point straight down. Mine is extreme as I was matching the exhaust to the previous stove that was a corner install while the P43 is not

That's what I did on my install in the "big house" up in NY......move the stove slightly to the left, and use a 45º elbow.

Well now....we have not had any violent weather here....but the rain has been on and off all month so far.

April was a tad dry, but I am not believing the local weather folks and their whining about the "Severe drought" we are in....not even.... Another political agenda me thinks.

May has been on and off wet most of the month, and this week is looking soggy.

Been running the little Whitfield most mornings and yesterday we ran it into the afternoon.
Shut off overnight (Wish we had not) house was 60 F this morning at 5 am

We had a few days a week ago or so we ran the AC pretty good for 3 days...then cool and wet again.......

Trying to get work done on the Cat project has been tough with the wet weather.

Got some parts in and just said !@#$ the rain, and went out and got work done anyway.

The previous owners/operators had made such a mess of this once proud steed....OMG HACKERS

Getting the little Chevy V8 stuffed into the belly of the beast was little issue as the original engine was a big Ford industrial V8
Then came finding exhaust manifolds that fit the need....ended up getting a new pair for a mid 90's Chevy Suburban 5.7L

That idea seemed great...until I went to bolt them on.
Right one hit the side of the tub (Barely) so a relief hole was needed in the tub to allow a tad bit of wiggle room.

These roll yer own projects are interesting.

Got things pretty well taken care of and had the local exhaust shop bend up the first section of pipe for me.

Mufflers are on their way and the pipe/muffler hangers showed up yesterday.

Scared up a fresh carburetor and it should be here today sometime...

The carb that was on the engine was crap....not gonna mess with it...

Needed an air filter and I wanted a factory GM one... Headed to the U PULLIT YARD and by plain luck found one off of a 1978 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup SWEEEEEEEEEEET

    Slowly piecing the beast together......

The last folks had cut this huuuuuuuuuge azz hole in the side of the tub, likely to access starter removal... but the ragged mess was butt ugly and then a blade was added to the machine and the blade mount covered most of the hole..

With all the extra junk pruned off, the ugly hole was again in plain view....
The hole was perfect for accessing the starter on the Chevy...so I decided to frame in the hole and make a cover plate to bolt on.

The area above the engine is where the van body will eventually sit and I wanted the tub as strong as possible.

There are still a myriad of drilled holes in the tub left from all the blade brackets and other stuff.

Need to weld up those holes eventually to clean things up.

Great fun..... and time consuming making these parts.

    The Frankencat is coming along.....

Probably a windows 7 issue. My Windows 10 system at work is fine.

We do a minor delouse every 3 1/2 to 4 hours on the floor.(Machine control panels-keyboards-operator stations- anything touched by more than a soul operator, Ect). During Shift change and lunch breaks. Also have a cleaning crew do full department cleanings. Even though we have departments that could run production on weekends, We don't to allow full area delousing...........

Our non essential's will report to work June 1st.

Darn I was hoping to convince the wife not to delouse her Bear every day.
