20200125_153959.jpg so I was looking for a mailing tube since I had to ship the whole handle back,
But the I figured, it's already broken, it doesn't need to be in one piece.
At the post office I looked at the flat rate boxes, I ended up just mailing back the broken end that said X27 on it.
20200212_155903.jpg yesterday I got my new one and put it to work in the beautiful spring weather. 20200212_165826.jpg
An hour later of the X27 and isocore workout routine.
20200118_153152.jpg almost refilled the first cord and a third rack.
20200118_153217.jpg 20200127_185045.jpg but definitely burning up my seasoned wood. 20200123_201404.jpg it's amazing that all those cords pf wood have been reduced to an Ash pile this big.

I envy those of you who live where winter is happening, my lawn is green and growing, in spite of the pathetic attempts at a snowstorm that wash away almost as fast as it falls.
I wish I lived in Maine again

Don't they want the axe back to see why it failed? Will that cause any issues in getting a replacement?

That's the first time I've heard of them asking for it back. In the last they just wanted a picture

I was told they had people claiming the warranty repeatedly for the same tool, or faking the picture of a broken one. Cannot believe the greed of some people.

It's still short enough right now, but a few more weeks of "winter" and I'll be firing up the tractor again.
We get actual winter weather in one or two day bursts, first day it snows a couple inches, changing to rain, leaving about an inch or less of garbage.
After the rain finishes the temperature drops to actually cold for a day or so, then a week of 40s every day with light rain to wash away winter. 20200203_150154.jpg 20200203_150154.jpg I've actually been out on the rowbike a couple times this "winter" 20200203_150420.jpg
This was the only ice or snow on the windham rail trail, a short cut through the rock that is always colder summer or winter.
20200203_154053.jpg 20200203_154504.jpg rode from Salem to Derry that day. This is the park in Derry where the pavement ends.
The next from Bedford depot to Alewife station on the minuteman bikeway. The ponds near Boston don't even have ice. 20200208_165651.jpg I'm so desperate for winter I went sledding on a half inch of ice.
The sled legs make this fun instead of too dangerous like a regular sled or tube. 20200208_174126.jpg 20200208_173815.jpg 20200208_174154.jpg I gave blood Saturday morning so I had to take it easy climbing the hill between runs, but the sunset and moonrise were worth it even if the snow is pathetic
20200214_165748.jpg mrs. Rowerwet got two dozen roses for putting up with me for 23 years. We started dating on Valentine's day

It's cold here also but only until Sunday, not enough to kill off the ticks

So yesterday I was out looking over the stacks, getting the empty racks ready for refilling.
Kind of shocking to realize that we only burned a little over 5 cords. This winter really was wimpy for all it started early, and snowed early.
Most of our burning was just a little fire in one corner of the stove to keep the chill off.

Disassembling the second rack to move it over a little 20200314_150103.jpg other than the first rack that I already refilled, this is the damage for the year

FB_IMG_1584959033128.jpg it's been a little weird at work, no traffic every day, only medical staff and pilots in the building, like working on a Saturday. got a new perspective on my airplane during an inspection.
FB_IMG_1584959085085.jpg FB_IMG_1584959061210.jpg FB_IMG_1584959071517.jpg enjoying the last day of winter with some outdoor social distancing.

It was really weird doing a church service with only my family for online viewers.
We also can't do our service at the nursing home, but we walk by and wave through the window, we might just go and sing like it was Christmas caroling.

So now that the kids are older and more responsible, and the virus panic has closed down their karate lessons, swim lessons, the beaches, and most other good places, we've talked about getting a pool, but now we did it.
The pools sell out as fast as they arrive, but I got one early Saturday morning. 20200516_161334.jpg
It took a few hours and blisters, but we got a good spot leveled out and dished down a few inches in the middle for extra depth.
    20200517_194750.jpg
A few hours later it was up.
However it took all day Sunday to fill, 6,000 gallons!
I have a salt system chlorine generator from a few years ago, so we get to enjoy slightly salty water instead of chlorine.
However it takes a while for 160 lbs of salt to dissolve, we sped it up a bit by putting our padding skills to work. 20200518_170158.jpg

Nice! How long before a deck gets put up on one side?

I'm hoping the bricks under each leg do the trick. I saw that tip in a youtube review of the pool while it was filling, luckily the filling took so long I could lift the top ring with my shoulder and slide a brick under with my feet

believe me, I'm debating it in my head, I even picked up a bunch of those plastic and wood deck planks by the side of the highway one time when I was stuck in traffic. enough for a small deck anyway.

Y'all will enjoy that. I like the salt system, cheaper than regular chlorine and better for your skin and clothes. Have a great summer

Nice pool. I like that wicker exterior. Good thing you put those bricks under the towers. Hope you And your family have many years of enjoyment with it.
