I planted flowers in my front yard when we moved to the foothills way back when, I thought people hiking by were stealing them. It was the deer. Flash forward 10 years we now had a fence, I seeded a wildflower mix, that disappeared. Cottontails :picard::rofl:

Found this gem of a picture of a worn out Blondie after they broke out of the fence and exhausted and sore the next day. Interesting to see her a few years ago. Her gut is already showing some bloating and her beautiful blond curls are gone off most her body except her mane and head. Seeing her all day every day I was blind to the gradual changes. We are all doing well but still weird she is not here anymore.

On another note, the old stray we were caring for (the one that was tight with poor Black Tail that died on the TNR table) is up for a foster home!! We dropped her off on Wednesday. Double weird we she is now gone too , but happy for her. This is her yesterday in the new Animal Welfare facility.

During the tornado warning, I put all the cats in the pen in case I needed to make sure they were in a protected part of the house (I would have rolled it into the hallway, and closed all the other doors). Rainey was already in the pen sleeping, so I just had get Spot and Rita

Rainey at bottom left (hard to see because of shadows), Spot top left and Rita is the white one

Rita has been in the pen before when she was sick a couple of years ago (the reason I bought the pen in the first place). But I was surprised that she didn't raise a fuss as she doesn't go in there voluntarily since the youngsters took over. But she did establish her section and this is pretty much how they stayed until they were let out (Rainey is now on the right side) .

After I opened the door, all the cats came out for a couple of minutes, then Rainey went back in to claim the top bunk and Spot took the right side.

Meanwhile, Rita Came over for pets - she is not the type to hold a grudge

We planted one of the gardens today and i got a feeling the hand watering is gonna be a chore this year as Titan has a thing for the spray . Plus the sprinkler i hooked up.
He chases the stream which is comical but when ya try and spray a plant he go's right after it.:picard::coldone:

Tie him up the first few times you are watering and maybe when he sees you doing it, he will get the idea it is not playtime.

Thank you, we are working through it, kiddo is doing better than I could hope for. The sense of loss is not as raw and also looking at pictures and reflecting reaffirms it was indeed the right time for her.

I have to agree with your Bride. Regardless of whether his family jewels are present or not, some instinctual behavior (seeking out dogs in heat at any cost and other behaviors and things that can put them in detriment can remain as a habit if owners wait too long).
