Way back when as a child up at the lake, there was a cottage directly across the lake had an inboard. Once a summer he would invite the nuns from St. Bona's up. He would take them for rides around the lake. When he didn't have the nuns he would open it up.

Good Morning to all, 29* here now with a light frost. No fire or black goo being utilized as the sun is already up and soon the temps will climb into the 60's.

Weird weather this year. It was cool enough a couple days ago that I was running fires in the basement stove to keep the chill out of the house in the morning. Now today it's in the mid 80's and the AC has been running most of the day.

Same here, bro. 34 degrees and a hard rain snow mix since about 7 am. Burning a little American elm and ponderosa pine. Love the moisture.

We're a bit warmer, mid 40's, rain and snow that melts on contact on and off all day. Feels like an early Sept storm in Colorado.

Yup, I'll take the moisture right now. We've been stage 1 burn ban for quite a while already. No bonfires again this summer.
At least A-basin opens on Wed., should be interesting.

Fire bans here too. I live right on the Jeffco/Park county line. Both have been on bans for well over a month. I’m okay with it though. Wildfire season is always super stressful.

You two have no idea how badly I miss the nice weather and foliage there :hair:, glad to be out of fire bans and wildfire danger, but yikes, the weather here is harsh and where I live is desolate.

Nearly 80° today. We spent the day out in the lake in the boat.

I turned the AC on at 70° before we left the house. It probably didn't even run much if any. It was 67° in the house when we left.

Yeah, parts of Wyoming are BRUTAL in the winter. My wife and I love to snowboard Jackson. We typically hit Jackson once a year. That I-80 drive can be a real white knuckler. Two years ago, the semi that we were following blew right over while he was driving. I pulled over and helped get him out of his truck. It was a complete whiteout. The snow was blowing so hard, I couldn’t hear him yelling 2 feet in front of me. Fortunately, he wasn’t injured. Once you get into the trees toward Jackson it gets better though.

Not cold at all around here today. Temps around 80 but that didn't stop the white stuff from filling the air. Cotton wood is starting to shed its seeds and it can look like a good snowstorm.

Now that had to be interesting! Snow is okay but not that wild wind. That is probably what I like least about the west is all the wind. I just am not a lover of wind.

We too got pretty warm yesterday but did not have to run the air conditioner and hope we don't at least until July. It looks like our high yesterday was 85 and about the same expected today. Maybe a bit of rain late tonight. At present it is 61.

Yeah Dave, it looks like summer is here once more.

Yesterday I loaded up the wood we had left on the porch. That is, I threw it into one of our totes then took it in back for the summer. I don't think we'll be needing another fire for a couple months.
