I came home from work today to a nice pile of hackberry (I think) from next door. Same neighbor I took 3 ash trees down for had another company take two trees down. My wife asked if they’d leave the bigger stuff for me. Guessing if my ugly butt had asked I woulda got shot down. Glad to have her help!

And right where it’ll get stacked. I’ll try and update later when it’s css
Biggest question? Do I cut it up with the 362 or 460 ? Either way it’ll be fun

Oh yeah, that's hackberry. It's in the elm family so it can be stringy. In the btu range of black cherry, about 19.5 mbtu per cord. Drys fast, some say under a year. Will begin to decompose rather quickly if left in rounds on the ground.:salute:

First parts done. Also cut up the little oak and whatever the little ornamental tree I cut a week or so ago. Looks like a cord n a half maybe. Left one oak chunk as my 14 yo daughter keeps wanting something to squat since the weight rooms closed. figures it was good nuff for rocky so should work for her to prep for VB season.
That and this contraption we joel-rigged up

She can practice her hits with it.

I vote for the 362, but i see both saws were used. Why use one when you have two? :saw:
hats off :tip:to the Mrs. for helping your hoard grow!
Love the volleyball contraption btw!

I was going to say you needed a 395xp, but I see you made do with just 2 saws

Yup. Got more than two, but they are the hungriest. 362 was winning until I got onto the one bigger log and just didn’t want to cut from both sides... 460 with a 28” just rips. Pulls hard. Kinda fun, if you’re into that sorta thing, I guess .

Hard nuff to find many trees around here the 362 can’t easily handle. Ever since I grabbed the ported 460, It seems to be my go to. The 362 is ported also, but it isn’t quite as “fun”

I have a stock 460 and it usually wears a 28" bar. May be getting a 361 (362 predecessor) in the near future

Great Joel! Payback for being such a nice guy helping him out.

But just think, you could have been in MI enjoying a GTG... maybe next year.

Guess I’m just hoping either his or another that can get out together. I’ve thought of hosting one near me, but it’d be different round here. Also, not that many member close but it’s be gooder to meet some of the closer to me members.
