Hello 2,000 HP over 200 MPH !!! 0-62 MPH in less than 3 seconds and 0-186 MPH in 9 seconds! Have you seen this new car Lotus Evija? Price Lotus is about to begin production on its all-electric, $2.2 million Evija supercar, which will have the power of three Lamborghini Huracans — here's a closer look Pic 1 - The up and coming list of the new Hypercars!!!
No speed limits on the Autobahn in Germany I drove a voltswagon golf on it with the pedal to the metal @ 90 MPH in the slow lane because the Mercs were blowing by me at a buck fifty!
Did you like Hypercar Blondie? I luv her British accent when she says “fastest production car in the world”
Drag strip, road course, Texas mile. It reminds me of a fellow I met who drove a Carrera GT. It still has a proper manual transmission with a tiny, high torque clutch. He tried to drive it in Annapolis on a busy social Friday night and struggled to keep it from stalling when traffic limited him to 5-10 mph. He was a good sport about everything.
You can't legally drive it on any public road in the US due to the lack of rear view mirrors on the sides. Yes, I know it has cameras on the street, but that's where the not legal in the us on public roads comes in... That law will probably change soon, but it hasn't yet, not for production vehicles. Neat car though. I'm a little unimpressed that with 2000 hp 0-60 is only 3 seconds. There's cars with a lot less hp than that, that can do 0-60 in less than that.
Grip. If it had it, way different story. Look at the 0-186 #, less than 9 seconds. What other gas powered production cars do it?
Yes, I see that. It's impressive. But how is an ordinary Tesla able to actually be quicker to 60 than a hypercard like this? A model S performance can do 0-60 in 2.3 seconds. Yes, Tesla's are actually slow at the top end of the speed though. Only 155 mph,
In my younger days, I did some drag racing at the local strip. My friends and I worked on our cars to build them for quicker 1/4 mile times. I did win a trophy when the record holder was not there. LOL Building and gearing a car for acceleration is very different than top end speed. You really cannot have one car that can be the quickest and the fastest. These cars do a good job
That's where electric motor excel. They really can do both acceleration and top speed. Gas cars now are easier to do this with the advent of 8+ gears.
I would rather have a cup car to race at Daytona International Speedway. With 42 other knuckleheads out there driving like it was a demolition derby at local racetrack with 5 laps to go. As long as I crossed the finish line first on the last lap.
