Pictures do not it justice, but the snow here today is nuts. We get about an inch, suns comes out and melts it, same thing happens again. I split an hour and was soaked and inside I sit
Same here Woodsnwoods except for we had some pretty good wind gust, the trees were a talkin. I almost pulled out of the woods but decided to finish the stack.
I’m with you Mike. At my place it was perfect. Wind in the woods is less than up at the house or fields, but still a stiff breeze. Had squalls roll through but not enough to get wet. Like your pics Woodsnwoods , the picture doesn’t do it justice. Yarded out a little over a cord of this awesome dead oak.
We got some flurries here, but nothing much. The wind was really blowing hard here making it not so pleasant. Looks like some rain tomorrow. Gotta take the bad with the good I guess. Hang in there woodsnwoods
Was sunny, but really windy here too. I did get about 2/3 of a cord of Pine processed. 6 months of shoulder season really uses up the lesser wood supply. Supposed to be rain & wind tomorrow, but at least our hard freeze wasn't as bad as predicted.
The weather has not been bad here except for the stinking wind. Been blowing like crazy. I just stayed in the garage and worked on chainsaws.
The wind was brutal today. It was a very lazy day for me. Went for a walk with my wife for a bit, and just came in from the hot tub. That was my two excursions for the day.
I didn't brave the wind either, even though the sun came out for awhile. Fed oak uglies into the stove, and worked on a new facemask design.
It flurried here on/off most of the day yesterday. Including a few impressive squalls. No accumulation.
It wasn’t a day to work outside here yesterday with the 40+ mph winds and snow coming down off and on, but at least we didn’t get a foot like the county did. (Caribou area) It’s still spitting snow up there this morning in places are my in-laws are not too impressed lol. My peas and garlic survived just fine, along with the greens in the greenhouse... The wood can wait. I made banana oatmeal pancakes for Mother’s Day and momma is fed and happy.
I don't mind the cool weather. Many days the wind has been north/easterly off the ocean, and that makes it feel a bit colder. Add in some drizzle, and it turns into an inside day. Yesterday was really windy, so I did a nice furniture restoration project indoors. A nice change up from yard work.
The apple trees are just opening here, so the blossoms made it through the wind yesterday and it was about 34 overnight with no frost. Seems strange having snow in May.
I'm shocked we didnt lose power. Even more so that when we went for a walk, there wernt any downed branches.
