I don't know how many nurses are members, I think there's a couple, but a big Thank You to you and your families, for doing what you do. All first responders and other medical personnel - Ditto! Same for other truly essential people, like those that help keep the lights on.
Many years being in nursing. Started off in 1967 and ending in 2015. But, my two daughters and two granddaughters are RN's On this forums, there are some RN wifes. I'm not aware of other male Rn's on here. Happy Nursing day and may God keep each and every one of you safe while to fight hard to fight and care for our citizens
My mother was a nurse, in the days of the white dresses and nurse caps. I understand the stripping or bands that accent the caps represent the nursing school they attended. As a kids I hit her shoes with white polish many times as she got ready for work. Worked her way up to director hole raising three mean boys. She was the kind the cops liked. No none nonsense but loved. The medical game has changed so much she was happy to retire.
I too thank all nurses. They do a selfless job. My wife is a CCU nurse at the local hospital. She's lost 2 patients to covid-19. I can not express how difficult this has been for her and us. Job stress is off the charts. She's had 2 die with no family present (1 covid, 1 not).
Yes, A big thank you to all the Nurses out there. My sister is an RN at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC.
I guess I'm one of the few who miss those old nurses uniforms. I always liked them but understand there aren't any nurses who would want them back. wishlist is married to a nurse.
