Hi everybody. I have COPD so I am classified as high risk with the current virus. Had a dr appt today via phone. My last visit with was late October I believe. I am also 67 so no spring chicken. At the visit I thought it was about time to set up health care proxy. So we talked a bit and she was explaining that folks like me with compromised lungs if they had to be incubated that they would probably never be weaned off the machine. She did go on to explain that the VA is reaching out to the doc's and encouraging them to reach out to high risk patients. She also went on to say that if I caught the virus, they could also set up hospice. I sure don't want to stick in a hospital all by my self. Being a vet it is something to think about.
